During the closing ceremony of the National Conference on Research in Psychology: Indigenous and Cultural Issues, The Director Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal announced Inauguration of Alumni Association of National Institute of Psychology. After the conference, a gala dinner was arranged for the alumni and the participants were offered free one year membership. A large number of alumni attended the gala dinner from different parts of the country. The alumni appreciated the director’s initiative for naissance of the organization as the alumni were deprived of having such a form to maintain contacts among each other and the institute. The M.Sc students of NIP presented comedy skits while M.Phil students presented a wonderful historical slideshow of the National institute of Psychology which was very much appreciated by the alumni as it evoked their feelings of being part of the Institute and playing an active role in their own as well as the institution’s development. The alumni enjoyed the evening and the gala dinner and showed their interest in the event arranged for them. The alumni also suggested to increase the frequency of such events and showed their interest in helping for arrangement of such events.
