Professional Interests

In my PhD, my area of study is Psychology of Gender and Social Psychology. My research work is based on Hijras (transgenders) in Pakistan. Although, I have done specialization in Clinical Psychology, but basing on my academic and research experience I have interest in:
- Psychology of Gender: Transgenderism, gender identity, gender roles and attitudes, deviance, sexuality, sexual minorities.
- Social Psychology: Attitudes, perceptions, belief and value system, discrimination, ingroup and outgroup biases.
- Developmental Psychopathology: Emotional, behavioural, and social problems of children and adolescents
- Health: Mental health, trauma, reproductive health
- Testing: Psychological assessment and measurement
