
About Conference
Arranging conferences, workshops, and seminars is another prominent area in which NIP excels. Since last two years we have taken the prerogative to organize International Conferences on issues of national importance. Present will be the Third International Conference from the platform of National Institute of Psychology (NIP). Title of the International Conference is Developmental Psychopathology: Prevalence, Management and Prevention. with the focus on researches which enhance, highlight, and focus on aspects of life of the developing child and adolescents and the problems that evolve on different developmental stages.
Aim and Scope
It aims at gaining a better insight for Children’s developmental problems/issues and risk as well as protective factors involved in Pakistan. The conference will focus on the psychological, social, and medical aspects of the issue with the aim to establish preventive strategies to combat the problems/issues effectively.
One basic aim of the conference is to introduce Developmental Psychopathology that refers to all those psychological problems that emerge during the course of development.

The conference is focusing on the prevalence, management and prevention of the developmental psychopathologies. The aim is to develop practice guidelines out of the three day extensive discussions, paper presentations and brain storming by the professionals, including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, psychologists, educationists and pediatricians.
Another aim is to identify areas for future research i.e. those areas in which there is scarcity of research done and deeper understanding of phenomenon is yet to be developed.

Program of the Conference
The conference is a three day activity and date is set to be 13th-15th October 2009, panel discussions, parallel paper presentations, poster presentations, and state of the art lectures.
